What a journey it was.... I decided to have an own website! After long three years of talking about it and pester my dear friends with the idea, I started one day during the second New Zealand Covid lockdown.... The main thing, that kept me going was my intention to take tiny steps!
There was so much information about the whole "website" business, at the beginning it was just overwhelming.... But as with everything, the more you know the easier it gets. It applies to every new project people start. It was the same when I started learning Thai..... the more I learnt the basics the quicker I learnt and the easier and more fun it got! The most important thing ever: don't give up and try the next day if its too much. Usually when I had a little bit distance, an idea (from nowhere?!) popped up in my mind.
Nowadays you can research everything on the net. I sometimes thought, that is such a silly question, I surely don't find that it in google. But sure enough, somebody encountered the same problem and there are answers and help out there. Important for me was to filter the right info for me..... kind of "for dummies" and easy explained.
Yesterday I read in the cool booklet of artist and author Austin Kleon: "Steal like an artist". I can recommend it very much as it is inspiring for any creative people. Amongst other motivation topics like: Keep a logbook, keep a praise file (for when you need it), don't throw any of yourself away, I found just a little task: ask yourself, what was the best moment of the past day..... it was the moment when I felt so much joy that my website is near completion and ready to launch. Yeay!!!!!

Eine Webseite für eine analoge Person.....
Was für eine Erfahrung..... ich entschied mich, eine eigene Webseite zu machen. Nachdem ich meinen Freunden drei Jahre mit dieser Idee in den Ohren lag, begann ich an einem Tag, während des zweiten Neuseeland Covid Lockdown die Sache endlich anzupacken. Das wichtigste an der ganzen Sache war, das ganze Projekt in die kleisten Schrittchen einzuteilen.
Am Anfang war das ganze Thema "Webseite" für mich einfach überwältigend. Aber wie mit jedem neuen Projekt, desto mehr ich weiss, desto einfacher und schneller geht es voran. Es war dasselbe, als ich angefangen habe Thai zu lernen. Am Anfang denkt man, dass wird nie was und je mehr ich wusste desto mehr Spass machte es. Das Wichtigste überhaupt, nicht aufgeben und am nächsten Tag wieder weitermachen. Mit etwas mehr Distanz, kam mir plötzlich (aus dem nichts?!) eine neue Idee.
Heutezutage kann man wirklich alles im Netz nachschauen. Manchmal dachte ich, dass kann nicht sein, dass jemand so eine einfache rudimentäre Frage bereits gestellt hat. Aber sicher doch, jemand hatte das gleiche Problem und ich fand Tips, Infos und Hilfe. Einfach wichtig war, die für blutige Anfänger rauszufiltern, damit ich sie dann auch verstanden habe.
Gestern habe ich im Büchlein von Künstler Austin Kleon gelesen: "Steal like an artist" (klaue wie ein Künstler). Ein motivierendes Büchlein mit verschienen motivierenden Hinweisen und ich fand eine kleine Frage: Was war der beste Moment im heutigen Tag? Für mich waren es die überaus positiven Gefühle, dass meine Webseite kurz vor der Veröffnung steht! Yeay!!!!
Gib niemals vorzeitig auf und gehe in kleinen Schritten voran!
